MOBILE ELEVATED WORK PLATFORMS (PEWPS)

  • Description: This program will introduce verteran and novice elevating work platform operators to the different types of lifts, the hazards and legal obligations when operating a lift. Participants will receive instruction on how to safely operate a lift and demonstrate their skill and knowledge through a practical segment. This program is run over two days. Day 1 is in-class theory where participants will take part in active lectures and use worksheets to faciltate a review of the content. Day 2 has a hands-on practical demonstration. PPE Required: Please bring hard hat, safety boots, safety glasses. WORKING AT HEIGHTS - REFRESHER

  • Description: In accordance with government standards, all construction workers in the province of Ontario must be certified in Working at Heights. During the Working at Heights course, participants will learn about the hazards associated with working at heights, hazard controls and OHSA regulations. Participants will be expected to apply the principles they learned in working at heights daily to protect themselves and others. PPE Required: Please bring hard hat, safety boots, safety glasses.
