  • Course Code: CONCRE
  • Description: In construction, the term forms or formwork describes the temporary structures that hold wet concrete in place until it sets. Formwork gives concrete shape and dimensions. Depending on circumstances, formwork can be built from several kinds of materials, including wood, metal, plastic and various combinations of these. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to explain the purpose of concrete formwork, describe general safety guidelines to followed on a jobsite, demonstrate the use of common formwork hardware and fabricate forms, from both standard and PERI formwork systems. CONFINED SPACEIN CONSTRUCTION

  • Description: Confined spaces pose numerous and dangerous hazards to construction workers who must enter them. Effective control measures and safe work procedures are required to protect confined space entry workers. This course will assist participants to identify the hazards associated with worksite confined spaces, the duties of workplace parties and the legal requirements and control measures that apply to confine space entry work. WORKING AT HEIGHTS

  • Description: In accordance with government standards, all construction workers in the province of Ontario must be certified in Working at Heights. During the Working at Heights course, participants will learn about the hazards associated with working at heights, hazard controls and OHSA regulations. Participants will be expected to apply the principles they learned in working at heights daily to protect themselves and others. PPE Required: Please bring hard hat, safety boots, safety glasses. Fee: Members: A No Show/Cancellation fee will be levied if there is less than 24 hour notice of cancellation or if there is a "No Show" for the course. Course Expires: 3 Years Min.
