Sisters in the Brotherhood

The Goal of Sisters in the Brotherhood

Sisters in the Brotherhood (SIB) - Emblem/Logo Every day, thousands of women play a critical role in making the United Brotherhood of Carpenters the best union in North America. The goal of Sisters in the Brotherhood (SIB) is to provide avenues for women to eliminate barriers to their success and to promote and increase in numbers and diversity of all women in the UBC by providing assistance in obtaining craft training and leadership skills; by being advocates on women issues; and by mentoring new members and even potential members.

We advocate for strength, unity and retention of all members and encourage participation within our union, and our community, thereby making the UBC a stronger organization for all.
